Adds to the room
We bought our house 6 months ago and the living room fan looked like it could accommodate a light kit. I researched the brand of fan and found that the light kit directly from the company were $90+. I love getting the best price, so I checked Amazon. It shipped quickly, was quick to put up (my husband put it up in half an hour) and works fantastically. It adds quite a bit of light to the room, and just makes the room look nicer than a plain fan did. I'm happy we got it!
Great Product - Horrendous Customer Service
NOTE !!! Fortunately, the product description is WRONG !!! Description indicates that the lighting kit is for x2 candelabra sockets. Actually, the lighting kit is for x2 STANDARD E26 bulb sockets. Which is a very good thing.

Each time I called Hunter customer service, they attempted to blame my home wiring and fluctuating power for the failing controllers. They refused to acknowledge that their controllers were defective, and tried to make me purchase new ones. My wiring was first rate and was rock steady.
After my fourth failure in a year, I contacted Hunter and informed them that I was going to file a claim in small claims court if they...
It's fine, I like it but...
it was time consuming trial and error to get the bowl to sit anywhere close to level and tricky to thread the chains through to the switches..
