NOT a DIRECT replacement for Commercial 908/909 blenders
A close look at the picture of this product you can see the graduations on the blender lid used for measuring ingredients; the 908/909 indeed comes with such a lid.
The vendor I used for this purchase, "Buy-it-now-store", shipped me the standard home grade blender lid.
While the non-commercial lid indeed fits the top of the 908/909, it is NOT a DIRECT replacement.
The non-commercial lid does not have the measurement graduations and is a substantially shorter than what is shown in the photo.
I have both versions of hamilton-beach blenders and the difference in the lids is quite obvious.
In other words, what I was shipped was not what was shown in the photo.
I brought this to "Buy-it-now-store's" attention and they had this to say:

Great cap, fit my blender even though it was a different model number
Great product. My original cap was in the blender when it was accidentally turned on...crushed to shreds! Hamilton Beach wanted to charge 10 bucks to ship the 4 dollar cap, found this one here and took a gamble that it would fit and it did! Not perfect but it does the job. Original model number is 50235, but it fits snugly and keeps the liquid in place!

Fits the blender in the kitchen perfectly. Now, at least we can use that blender again without worrying about the mess.
