GE WB44K10002 Broil Element for Stove

Good fit and good product
The element went in without issue and resolved my broiler issue for a reasonable price. What more can I say?

Pretty easy install
This was a much easier install than I anticipated and it saved a significant amount of money over hiring someone to come out (or buying this elsewhere for that matter). It only required unscrewing 4 or 5 screws and literally unplugging the old and plugging in the new. No soldering or special tools required--only a wrench or screwdriver and maybe a pair of pliers.

Bamix Deluxe M150 Black Immersion Hand Blender

Excellent Product
I purchased this version of the blender as it came with several attachments and a nice black stand. The units are, with the exception of the long neck Gastro, virtually identical. Thus the choice is what attachments you want and perhaps the color of the unit. As you would expect from the inventor of the hand blender, the quality, durability, and ease of use outshine any other blender on the market. We had a Braun for many years and it was excellent but if you are making squash soup or some other dish that has pithy ingredients, this unit will give you the power and speed to purée the ingredients to the smoothest consistency. Highly recommended!

Still Loving it!
This was a Christmas present from my husband in 2012. I use an immersion blender constantly because I make a lot of soups and sauces from scratch. I was getting frustrated, though, because cheaper blenders just weren't lasting and it adds up to keep replacing them. Either the drive shafts would freeze up or the motors died. It's not like I was punishing the things making smoothies with ice and frozen fruits, either! The difference in quality and durability between less expensive brands made in Asia and this Swiss-made blender can't be overstated. It's already outlasted any of the others I've ever had. The one improvement I still kind of wish for is an ejection button for the blades, so be absolutely certain to unplug this before cleaning or removing them without fail! So far, I feel like we're getting our money's worth from this blender...finally!

An aside note on their recipe for Mayonnaise: the oil taste seems too overpowering IMHO as written. I increased the lemon...

Solid
I've had a few immersion blenders and this one feels like a tank, indestructible. I luv the stand, I don't have to mount it to the wall as it is stable enough to leave on the counter. I look forward to making my own spice blends.

Wedding dress perfection!
My husband's cousin's wife bought one of these little steamers last week to steam her daughter's flower girl dress for our wedding and it worked great. She graciously offered to steam my wedding dress for me and it looked absolutely beautiful! She did burn her hands a couple of times because there is no brush to use to guide the steamer along the fabric, and I did notice her having to hold the hose up in the air to let the water run back down into the holding tank, but none of these things seemed to bother her...and I had a lot of dress to stream! I was so impressed with it that I'm going to get one for our family soon because I absolutely do NOT iron. :)

Spend the extra $ to get a quality steamer. This one just doesn't do the job... I'm returning it tomorrow.

Not what I need
This steamer is fine. I don't have any problems with the actual steamer. It does what it's supposed to. My problem is that it doesn't have a stand so you have to steam the clothes on a door. I just moved into my home and painted all my doors so they're extremely sensitive to heat, especially steam. So that doesn't work for me. Also, a steaemer I used before came with a gray foam thing so you could "guide" the clothes with it so you didn't burn your hand. I'm constantly burning myself with this thing. Lastly, you really have to keep the nozzle elevated or it starts to drip water everywhere. I don't think it should be this sensitive. If you really don't have $58 to spend on a better one, this is a fine option.

Wage war on dust
I have two of these Whirlpool air purifiers at home - not the cheapest things in the world, but very effective. I bought them when my home was undergoing some remodeling, and I was in a constant battle with dust. These filters do the trick, especially if you run the fan on high (although some complain the purifier is too loud ... that is another review). The 4 pack is quite handy. I have noticed a significant reduction in dust on the surfaces in my home ... although I can't say I have won the war. I am happy with the product. I listed as 4 star because I think the price could be a bit lower ... but still better than what you would find in the stores.

Bought this as a back up to the origional hose. I've had no problems yet, but did not want to risk down time.ie Holidays with family/freinds coming over. The hose seems to be well made and a bit more flexible than the origional. It certainly extends from the vacuum longer and with less force. On the plus side, the vacuum tends to stay in place with the replacement hose while you use the extention tools.

REVIEW UPDATE
I need to update my previous review. When I received this hose there was NOT anything about how to re attach the new one to the vacuum cleaner & wouldn't stay attached at ALL... Very frustrated to say the least. Now after writing the scathing review I was able to find a how to vid on YouTube that ROCKS... & helped me understand that in order to get the hose on & to have it click into place you MUST remove the cylinder that holds the dust & debris 1ST... then attach the hose & it will then click right into place & stay on the vacuum. THANK YOU to the person who posted that how to vid!! I think that it would be helpful for your company to print up an short instruction sheet with these instructions & send it with the part when you sell them, that way you wont have people frustrated & wanting to return it unhappy.

Hide-Away Ironing Center, White

Excellent product
Arrived in excellent condition. Very affordable and versatile product that works especially well in new construction or a remodel. The swiveling ironing board was a very handy feature that made this the best product in our particular application.

What I was looking for.
Fit in my new bathroom closet and works great.Looks good and very easy to make the height that you want.

VERY USEFUL
I put it on my bedroom wall beause my laundry area is in the garage and carrying the ironing board back and forth is really a pain. I live in Florida and the garage is like a sauna. It works well. If you are able to put it in the wall it would look better, but it is really very handy. The only criticism I have is that it barely fits a normal size iron. I did get the autoimatic light and plug which takes up some space on the shelf, but the shelf is rather narrow.

14910 Sears Kenmore Humidifier Wick Filter (2 Pack)

Product is as pictured, and not OEM
I've replaced the filters on our Sears humidifier numerous times. I thought I'd be getting the same OEM product as previously. However, the filters I received appear as pictured, and are not the same as the original, despite labeling. I don't yet know how well they will work. Perhaps they are better (?), but it wasn't what I was expecting. Dry, they are smaller than the specified dimensions and don't fully fill the air flow path; however, I've verified that they expand to fill the space when wet. The vendor has agreed to replace or refund if they don't work properly. I'll test them this winter and will update my review (if I remember!)

Great filters get the job done.
I had a hard time locating these filters and were more expensive at other sites. They fit better than what I used last year and will be purchasing more in the future.

Replacement Bosch Premium Canister Bags (Type P)

Equal to or superior to the name brand bag
Excellent performance form this bag. Even has an adhesive closure for the opening after the bag is full. Constructed of material that appears to be exactly the same as the name brand.Very high price / performance ratio. Very satisfied!

For starters, they are a bargain compared to the official Bosch vacuum bags!

Secondly, they actually fit my BOSCH canister BETTER than the official product. Years back when BOSCH decided to discontinue the type of bag that was made for my specific model, I ended up using P bags which never fit properly -resulting in the bag moving out of place, the filter clogging, me having to empty the bag canister from all the mess etc etc. My husband tried to DIY a mechanism to keep those darn things in place, to no avail.

THESE bags, however you stick their firm cardboard front in, push 'em down, voila. No fussing, no clogging.

Cost effective alternative to Bosch brand bags.
These work perfectly in our Bosch vacuum, and are substantially less expensive than the Bosch branded ones.

Cuisinart ® WCM11S Commercial 2-cup Coffeemaker - Stainless Steel

Works great so far!
I received this coffee maker as a Christmas gift, and thus far, it's working great! I recall other reviewers having trouble with the dual cup function, but I haven't had a problem with it. Maybe they just got lemons. Anyway, for a small, light-duty coffee maker, it creates less waste than a K-Cup machine, works great and fast, and costs less too!

A+++ HOW Did I Live Without This!
After staying at many Hilton Hotels that use this Cusinart Stainless Steel Coffee Pod Brewer, I had to have one to put in my bedroom. My bedroom now feels like a hotel room, the coffee takes no time at all and I reccomend getting "The POD" World Blend Coffee Pods (sold here on Amazon). I've since sent one to my best friend and she said it's "the best present she ever got". Love this!!! So convienient to have a coffee maker next to your bed!

Generic Electrolux Electric Hose (OLD STYLE)(Pistol Grip)

Exactly what the seller said it would be.
Very pleased. I have intentionally kept my review to see how the hose performed with time. I've had it for a few months and it works great. 1/4 of the cost of a new one from Aerus and the quality seems as good as the original. The jury is still out on the free bags that came with it but I will post that as I use them. Liked the company, shipping and product. Will purchase additional products when the time is right.

Awesome Purifier - Expensive to Replace Filters
I'm so torn on this product. It really is a great air purifier, and it has comes with various settings so you can adjust it to your room and liking. It is fairly quiet compared to some other smaller air purifiers I've used, but it certainly isn't whisper quiet (which, to be fair, they don't claim it to be).

The reason I'm torn is the price of the replacement air filters. I purchased this last year (2009) for my dad to use in his bedroom. He was a heavy smoker, and when winter was approaching, it was too cold to go outside. He passed earlier this year (2010), and my mom got out the air purifier to use in another part of the house. We could tell that it needed the filters replaced.

Unfortunately, the two replacement filters cost as much if not a little more than the unit itself. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE! I did some searching online, and I was able to find some filters that were less expensive, but when you added shipping, the price was still only $10-15 less...

Wake up and smell the clean air...
I love this filter! After one week I was shocked at how much dirt it cleaned up from our air. You do have to replace the filters but it is totally worth it.

If it is in the room with you and you are trying to talk or watch tv it is very NICE to be able to turn it down, to hear better without having to turn it off. Don't get me wrong, even the high setting is NOT that noisey. I highly recommend this air cleaner for the price and for the quality.

Compact decent arifiler
The Hunter 300090 appears to have decent build quality. Fan is not as quiet as I was hoping for, but should not be too loud in most situations and does move a lot of air. Filter is easy to replace. Unit is nice that you can mount on the wall, lay on its side, or stand upright.

Black & Decker 2-Slice Toaster, Silver

Not a Bad Toaster for the Buck
Have been using this toaster for about a week now. For the most part I really like it. My toast comes out nice and even and I really appreciate the countdown timer in the display window. Have not used the "reheat" function, but have toasted a few bagels and it works just as well as toasting bread. Very easy appliance to keep clean and I certainly appreciate the removable crumb tray. Despite the Black & Decker warning to not put the tray through your dishwasher I did and it cleaned up very nicely. Just be sure to turn off the "HEATED DRYING" option on the dishwasher.
The one thing I did not like is the retractable power cord feature. I pulled numerous time on the cord trying to get the locking system to hold the cord in place but it kept retracting the cord into the toaster as it simply would not lock. I finally smashed on the "retract" button a number of times and the internal cog finally locked the cord into my desired length. This is the only reason that I did not...

Junk
Toaster lasted all of 35 days before it stopped working. All the lights on the toaster are flashing/giving strange numbers/codes and as soon as you put something in it, it pops back up. Just outside of Amazon's return window so now I have to deal with Black and Deckers and pay to return the toaster.

Won't buy a toaster from Amazon again. If I buy it at a local store, I have a 90 day return window.

Good toaster
The toaster looks really good - stainless all around. The top mounted button are great and the display works well. The retractable cord isn't really necessary but isn't a problem.

Toasting wise, it does a decent job. It seems to toast the inside of the toaster slightly more than the outside. Overall it is a good toaster for the money.

not a good fit
It's working but it's not really the correct belt for my Hoover. Said it was compatible but it's a bit tight and sometimes it slips but the vacuum is so old if it wears out too soon doesn't matter. The vacuum goes out with the belt to the trash.

Just What I Was Looking For!
I had a tough time finding this rubber belt as it is used on older vaccuum cleaners.

At the risk of sounding like an old lady, I was afraid I would have to discard my favorite vaccuum cleaner until I found this belt.

MaxiMatic MST-250XS Elite Gourmet 1-1/2-Quart Slow Cooker

Small slow cooker
This still gets too hot on warm. It cooks too fast. Need a smaller cooker that has more levels of heat or is better insulated. This is the second one I order another one from a competitor, it was worse. Way too hot.

This is what the description says it is; 1 1/2 Quart, 3 temp., manual slow cooker. When it arrived the front "plastic control piece" was not properly attached to the body but that was easy to fix and the slow cooker works fine. It is right size for two people if you don't want leftovers or when you want to heat side dish, appetizer, etc..

Great for dips!
I bought this crock pot for the sole purpose of dips. Lugging around a larger pot just isn't functional. This one is perfect.

DeLonghi DFP950 Die-cast 3-in-1 Food Processor,Blender, Scale

Great blender. Feels sturdy and every part seems to be high-quality, better than my old Oster blender.
I would have given this blender 5 stars but I take one out because the pictures and video show a juice maker and a mini-mill and additional small cup mixer. Those are not included. What comes are the blender and the food processor with the standard blade, two different grating wheels, the egg beater and the dough maker. The scale is great.
It's expensive and I might not have bought it had I known the juice maker did not come with it.
I don't even know where to get that attachment as it was not in the DeLonghi site.

Wish I could rate higher
I bought my Delonghi Food Processor/Blender in January 2011 for 2 main reasons: 1. Delonghi's good reputation and 2. Space-saving, two-in-one foodprocessor blender would take up less cabinet and counter space. It was a bit higher priced than I thought it should be but if it could save space and be functional for our fruit smoothie loving family it would be worth it. Now the 2 stars is for the blender caraffe/blade housing not the food processor parts or the motor. The food processor has worked well for me but I haven't really worked it out yet. The blender I use 7 days a week. I make fruit smoothies every morning. I do not use ice but I do use frozen strawberries, blueberries etc. I have had to retun the blender twice in less than a year because the plastic part that connects the blender blades to the motor housing strips. I believe it is bad design as I have looked at the better model blenders and they do not use a weak plastic like Delonghi does in such a demanding area...

Do Not Buy
This is the first review for a product that I have ever written. I am doing this as a public service :-) DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I purchased this product about a year ago and it has had nothing but problems. I had to replace it in the first two days because it just stopped working all together. To Home Depot's credit they were helpful in sending a new one. However, while the first one died a quick (and relatively painless) death, the second one has been dying slowly. So far, the ring that keeps the blender from leaking has lost its shape and, if not perfectly and painstakingly put into place, the blender leaks all over the place. Also, the base of the blender is rusting. And lastly, the lid to the food processor, which is a poor design as it too does not fit well, cracked. I have tried since October to get it replaced (it is now January) and it is still on "back-order". I placed a call to the manufacturer and was told that they could not do anything for me except update me on the...

Filtrete Bissell 7 and 9 Filter, 1 Filter Per Pack

Working Better than Ever!
I had been buying the Bissell 7&9 Filter for my vacuum.
I didn't know that Filtrete made a filter for my vacuum.
I know it would be better. Filtrete is the only filter I have used in my home heating unit. I'm very pleased that I can get the same quality for my vacuum's HEPA filter.
Cap'n Suck-o-lux is back in full force like a brand new vacuum, and it has to be, dealing with the fuzz, dander and everyday sheds of 5 cats!

The filter I received was not the one pictured. It was a GENERIC one, sealed in white plastic bag.
Now I don't know if this was an error or not. But Buyer Beware..
Oh and publish this review already. It's the second time I wrote it. People need to know these things. Don't just publish the favorable reviews, it makes ALL reviews on the site suspect.

Filters with filtering power!
Fits a little looser than OEM but provides great filtration and airflow. Fortunately for me I didn't need to do any sealing. I would buy this product again.

Replacement for Kenmore 46-9690 Refrigerator Water Filter MADE IN USA

No Money Saved
Bought this filter because it was Made in the USA plus it was cheaper. Our water has tasted like we are drinking out of a garden hose since we started using it. The water from the sink tastes better, so it is the filter that is not any good. No money saved with this deal.

Really filter a lot of tiny particles
I'm still using these. I run hot water through them to clean and they have been rotated monthly over the years. Can tell the difference in the air and suction when I use a clean filter.

The filter that comes with the vacuum takes 2-3 days to dry, even though the company says 24 hours. Of course I have to vac when the filter is wet. A spare for me and one for my daughter!

Crock-Pot SCDD 32-Ounce Manual Double Dipper Warmer, Black

Updated review...now I've tried out 3 of these pots!
UPDATE: I think a wire may have come loose in my first pot. I have now used my replacement pot for 6 hours and it worked great...I've used it often--and the pot I gave as a gift is working great. So, in spite of the fact I had a glitch in the first pot I bought, all is working great now and I love this pot...so with Amazon's free exchange for a new pot, and new pots working perfectly, I have raised my review rating. I am glad I didn't give up on it...

MY ORIGINAL REVIEW:
The concept behind this is wonderful; each side holds 16 oz of dip. That's a decent sized jar if you buy a dip or 2 cups worth if you make your own on each side, it takes up little counter space and you can do 2 dips at a time for your quests in one small pot. I did a spinach artichoke dip and a jalapeno bean dip and it kept everything hot for almost 4 hours. I was in love.

Here's the thing...the instructions suggested to only warm dips for 4 hours--it failed, however, to say why. I figured...

Very handy item
I got this to use for Christmas dinner and it's great!! Just the right size for dips and can be used for one or two different dips. Keeps the dip just the right temperature. I'm very pleased.

I looked around quite a bit before deciding to buy this for my brother's birthday present. I also bought a dip cookbook. This has worked out very well, the product is great!

This is a very versatile powerful kitchen tool. I love it. Although I did overwhip my mashed potatoes because it is so powerful be careful. cuts chopping work in half.

a truly horrible kitchen tool
I had a braun multi-mix for years and loved it. finally the whisk came apart and I decided to replace the whole unit with a new one. thought I'd get a good quality one and researched it endlessly. chose the viking and what a mistake! I've had this "turkey" for 6 months and every time I need to use it, I look for a different solution. it just doesn't work very well - especially the main mixer stick, compared to the braun. something about the blade just isn't the right shape - it's almost impossible to puree a soup or a sauce. pieces of food fly out the sides and you just cannot get a smooth consistent result.

the other serious negative is that it's very, very hard to attach the different attachments. you have to line up the attachments with the sides of the motor - and they are difficult to locate. there should be an indicator on the outside of the motor, duh. also, the fitting is way too tight and the unit is large enough that it's hard to get one's hand around it...

It was a gift for somebody to whom u direct shipped. I did not touch it, nor see it nor hear anything about it from the recipient so how could I rate it??

Edge Eyewear SW114 Dakura Safety Glasses, Black with Amber Lens

Don't block blue light
I ordered a pair of these along with one pair each of Uvex's S0360X and S1933X. I was wearing my Uvex S1933X this morning when I turned on my blue light therapy lamp, which I aim towards the wall just because it adds a pretty color to the room...and I thought huh- why isn't my light working? Then I removed the S1933X...and there was the blue light! So I decided to try it with these SW114s- and they don't seem to diminish the blue light at all, much less make it dissapear like the Uvex. When I compared the glasses side by side, these actually look more like pink lenses- they're definitely not amber the way the Uvex are amber.The Edge Eyewear are very nice looking and appear to be solidly made- but if you want to avoid blue light, avoid these.BTW, the Uvex S 0360x also blocked the blue light completely.

Whirlpool 8300802 Fixed Thermostat for Stove

"Sort" of resettable if it "blows"
This is the infamous Whirlpool/Kitchenaid thermal fuse that blows when you run the cleaning cycle on the Kitchenaid KGSA906PSS range. You know, the problem everyone has, but Kitchenaid denies even happens; the reason I'll not buy Kitchenaid appliances again. All because of this fuse. Or rather, the poor implementation of the fuse into the design.

Anyway, when it blows about an hour into the cleaning cycle because by design the oven gets so hot it blows the fuse (good job, Kitchenaid!), the door will remain locked closed and the timer display will go black. No clock, no controls. The burners will still light. That means power is getting to the stove, but the oven will be dead.
So if you need the oven, you are out of luck. DO NOT CLEAN THIS OVEN if you need it within a week.

You will have to turn off the gas, unplug the power and disconnect the supply pipe from the range (I do that by removing the storage drawer and reaching underneath to disconnect from the...

A repairman wanted over $300 to fix my stove when all I needed was this part. Took me a minute to figure out where is was on my stove but installing it was a breeze!

Great replacement part

Alen® T300 - Sleek Design Tower Air Purifier, Powerful, Effective & A Great Value - 500 Sq. Ft.

Good product. So-so service.
This is a good air filter. I have pretty bad allergies, and when we first moved into this house it had brand new carpet and I would be miserable 5 minutes after walking in the door. I moved my T300 in from my previous apartment, and about a day later came back and had no allergy symptoms whatsoever.

PROS: -Cleans extremely well.
-Filters last longer than 6 months.
-Quiet on lower settings

CONS: -Have noticed a problem with the back cover. It takes some work to get the unit to recognize that the back cover is installed. Customer service told me I could adjust the sensor for it but haven't tried yet.
-Lamps are ridiculously expensive. Don't last. Don't buy them for sixty bucks! Get the Phillips PL5/UV at bulbman(dot)com for thirteen bucks! Its better and is the exact bulb specs for the T300...
-Noisy on "medium" and "high"

Great little air filter
I did a lot of research, reading and talking to people before finally deciding on the Alen T300. I was worried about a few things: 1.Noise 2.Filter price, 3.Ozone generation, and 4.power consumption. Im happy that this air filter really met all the criteria I was after.
1. Noise. Really what good is an air purifier if you cant sleep with the thing on? Or hear the TV for that matter? This air purifer is really quiet. The white noise it provides at night when all is silent is equivalent to the sound of a hotel air conditioner running. My wife and I find it quite relaxing and its nice to sleep along to.
2. Filter. The filter has a foam pre-filter that is easily removable and washable so the filters should last a long time, when they need to be replaced they cost $49. a pair (it uses two at a time) Not bad seeing that most people can get two years out of the filters running about 2200 hours a year. The UV bulb that can be turned on and off to kill Virus and bacteria...

It's worth every penny
Though beautiful, after moving to Austin I experienced what a lot of people experience once they move here...ALLERGIES!! Medications would alleviate the headaches and sinus pressures but the sneezing and the watery eyes were, seemingly, incurable, until I came across the Alen T300. I was skeptical because I had tried many others before and none succeeded but I was willing to try anything. I plugged in the T300 (Very quiet) and left it running over night and the next morning noticed a significant difference in the air. NO SNEEZING or watery eyes!! It's worth every penny!!

Black & Decker MX300 Power Pro Hand Mixer, White

Black & Deckers - Ups and Downs
This is a solid mixer that will get the job done. It comes with whisks and beaters, which I think is great. I use the whisks for scrambled eggs, and they come extra fluffy.

My gripes is that there really is no "low" speed on here. Even on the lowest setting, it sounds like a corvette is going to roll through my mixing bowl.

Also, the plastic spatula is a nice thought, but no substitute for a real spatula. It kinda helps if you're doing cake batter, or something equally thick, but don't buy this one just because it comes with a gimmick.

Lousy mixer
We replaced a cheap $10 Proctor Silex mixer with this Black & Decker model that was suppose to be an upgrade. What a mistake this was as the mixer did not even last a year of use. I find it humorous that they give you heavy duty beaters and motor with power boost and then use PLASTIC gears! I took the unit apart as soon as I heard the grinding sounds coming from it and sure enough the gears had warn a thin line down the center of them rendering the mixer worthless. What is amazing to me is the cheap Proctor Silex mixer had worked for 5 years doing the same job without breaking, we ended up donating it at the end but still working as good as new. The only reason we upgraded was to get some of the fancier features this model had, now we need to buy a new mixer.

Loads of Power
Excellent performance and very high power with this hand mixer. Recommend this product for small mixing jobs when you don't need a stand mixer.

As my wife and I are perfectionistic designers, sifting through the vast variety of the space heaters available on the market was some task. We finally decided on one which would provide a slow constant wamth versus the hot air bast-types such as heat fan elements, coil heaters, etc. resting on the idea of purchasing a radiated type. We read the reports on DeLonghi products in general which overall had been favorable. We made the decision to purchase the non-timer version of the TRH0715T, the TRH0715. Although slighlty less expensive, in hind sight I think we would've spent the extra money and got the timer version. We have still to recieve our electricity bill, but guess it much more economical than slappiing down $1,500 for heating oil. The two we purchased, heat our main floor nicely (1,300 sq. ft.), and is not too inconvient when moving heaters from room to room if/when necessary. The overall design is thoughtfully provided in the form of a stealth high-heat resistant plastic...

great heater, very quiet
This little heater works well! The snap-down wheels made it very easy to install (no assembly required). The thermostatic variable control works well (unlike some others I have tried). Some reviewers reported smelling an oil or paint smell when they first turned it on, however, I did not have that issue at all. Since I only obtained my heater at the end of this years heating season, I haven't yet fully tested the high heat setting, but on the low setting, it kept my 20 x 14 foot room quite comfortable this spring. It makes no noise that I have been able to tell, except a very slight click when the heater turns on at the thermostat setting.

Works pretty well, not completely cool to the touch
I got this for our 3-year-old daughter's room as for some reason she does not seem to like the sound of a radiant heater. It does a decent job of boosting the heat level in the room, which she needs because she tends to kick off her blankets during the night. I wouldn't rely on this alone to heat a room unless it was a very small room. The top and back do get hot, although you'd have to keep your skin in contact with it for several seconds to actually get burned; bumping into it should not cause any burns. I haven't noticed any odors or noises from it.

Whirlpool 8562061 Silverware Basket for Dish Washer

design flaw
The basket does fit the bill to hold silverware. However, the way it hooks into the tray needs some reevaluation by the design engineers. It needs to seat more firmly in the hooks. Cannot tell you how often all of my family members have had to pick up silverware from the dishwasher, floor, etc.

It's small, so we use two
We use this basket in addition to the one supplied with our new dishwasher because Whirlpool provided for an optional basket location on the lower rack. It doubles the capacity for silver and kitchen tools, fits adjacent to the original basket (on the door, where one has to manage around the soap dispenser door on one side) when the machine's door is closed, and allows us to fill the rest of the machine before running it. Shipping was quick, too.

West Bend Stir Crazy Deluxe Popcorn Maker

Defective Design
I'm a long-time, multiple Stir Crazy user (45+ years, I think), but I am incredibly disappointed with this new model. It purports to fix many of the minor irritations with my old Stir Crazy, but it does not make satisfactory popcorn.

My first Stir Crazy Deluxe did not work at all. West Bend customer service then sent me the wrong model (Kettle Krazy) as a replacement. I finally received a second Stir Crazy Deluxe after more calls (missing one of the bumpers on the feet and with an on/off switch that failed to light up when on). The second unit ran with wild swings in temperature and did not pop the corn properly. West Bend sent me a third unit that they took out of the box and tested before shipping. This unit did have all of the parts and appeared to work as designed. It did not make satisfactory popcorn.

This popper uses a halogen heating element, similar to those used on certain solid-surface cooktops. A halogen element heats up instantly, but the output level...

Disappointed
I read the reviews for the less expensive West Bend stir crazy and hoped this model would solve some of the problems. The stir rod on this model does not scratch the teflon coating and it has an on/off switch. Unfortunately, the on/off switch does not work. It just turns the LED light on and off, not the heating element. The write up says the stirring rod reverses. It did not over all the times I used the product. The heating element seems too hot. It was burning the corn that had already popped before even half the kernels had popped. I tried more oil and less oil to prevent the burning and nothing worked. I tried different popcorn. No joy. I was prepared to live with the bad on/off switch but I just never got any good popcorn out of this model. Sigh.

Kitchen Gadget Of The Year!
I used the original Stir Crazy model for years. In fact, I used it so much that I wore out several of them (literally, wore them out). This new Deluxe model is MILES ahead of the old model! The removable popping plate makes cleanup a breeze. The 1000-watt heating element pops the corn faster than the original model. The stirring rod DOES reverse if it gets stuck (that other reviewer must have received a defective unit).

The new Stir Crazy Deluxe model is absolutely superior to the original model. The only negative (which also plagues every other dedicated popper I've tried) is that the popcorn comes out slightly chewy due to trapped moisture.

I was so impressed with the Stir Crazy Deluxe that I wrote a review for my markshangout.com blog (including a tip for completely eliminating the chewy popcorn).

Lennox 48K98 OEM Control Circuit Board

Works fine, easy to install
I used this on a G20RQ2/3 Lennox whisper heat unit when my BCC2 LB-65126A caught on fire. This is the first day, but It works flawlessly and exactly the same as the old unit straight out of the box. "Plug and Play." My furnace guy was almost twice the price for a similar part. If you can stand to wait for regular shipping I would recommend getting this 48k98 circuit board. Also, if you know anything about attaching wires to identical terminals, this is very "do it yourself." As long as you can troubleshoot that your problem is with your original blower circuit control board, and turn your breaker off. Item arrived on the first estimated day (Friday when ordered on Monday).

Update 01/2012: Still working great after over a year of constant use (heat and AC). I'm very happy with this product. You can't beat the price, and it's not hard to do yourself.

My air conditioner blower stopped working and when I found that the motor was still good and the thermostat was good, this was all that was left. Connected it up, and voila, air.

Sous Vide Supreme SVD-00101 Demi Water Oven, Black

Does exactly what you'd hope ... for a price
EDIT: Still enjoying this machine after more than 1 year. I tend to use it at least once a week for fish. I also occasionally use it for (not-so-good) steak. Oh, and it excels at leg of lamb. I do want to note that the difference between tenderness and juiciness has never been more apparent to me than when I used this device - there's a reason it's recommended to serve sous vide meat with a sauce or jus. I note that there is a sous vide machine available through Amazon that's about half the size and half the price. I've never used it, but it looks like it might be a way to try this method of cooking without spending a fortune, although I question if the size is large enough for a small family. Finally, there's an excellent comment about cooking meat to two different levels of doneness in the comments section that I encourage you to check out...

Excellent little device
These were available for a limited time at costco and I'm very happy I jumped when I saw one (costco's return policy = no risk early adoption). I've only had it a week, but have cooked a few things in it. Chicken breasts @ 140f for 2 hours was delish, carrots with a little butter magnificent, scrambled eggs were custardy in a way I thought impossible. The critical thing it does well that a lot of hack sous vide options can miss on is the constant temperature. Various levels of water have fluctuated no more than 1 F for this first week of use. I'm looking forward to doing to some longer cooks with beef this weekend.

If you're the type of person that thinks "ok tonight I'm shooting for a michelin star dinner at home" this is a nice weapon to have in your arsenal. Is it necessary? No, but the hands free consistency that it provides, especially for proteins frees you focus on other details that can really elevate your food to new levels. There's a lot of cook ahead uses...

A great addition to my cooking arsenal
I've had this for 2 months now, so I feel ready to give it a review. I started with a primitive crock-pot hack, and quickly decided I wanted the real deal. If you have the counter space, this looks a lot nicer than a crock-pot with a bunch of wires everywhere. As an appliance that I use about twice a week, it merits a prominent spot in my kitchen.
I've done pork chops, pork and beef tenderloin, short ribs, Delmonico, whole chicken, chicken breasts. All of these early experiments have ranged from decent first attempts, to amazing.
Chicken (145 with fresh Rosemary)is the tenderest ever - white meat that explodes with juices when you poke it. I'm looking forward to trying some free range birds, hoping for some real intrinsic flavor.
Pork loin (134) has been especially good. I get local meat that isn't pumped with liquids. Prepared simply and cooked all day. Ready to sear when I get home from work.
I've also used it to keep liquids at 105 for a yeast based batter...

Kenmore White 1.2 cu. ft. 1200w Countertop Microwave 69122

Can you love a microwave???
We wanted a bigger microwave and Kenmore is my brand of choice in the kitchen. It's stronger than my old .7 cu ft one, but that to expect and I like having things done quicker. The inside is perfect for my bean pot from celebrating homes and any other dish I have wanted to microwave. The convenience buttons are just that, the guide to use them is inside the door of the microwave so no need to keep the user manual handy. As usual happy with my kenmore!

Another great purchase through Amazon
I purchased this product after reviewing microwaves listed in Consumers Reports. So far we feel that the Kenmore is better than what was laid out in the review. We are totally satisfied with this product.

You can turn the sound off! But I exhanged it. There's one problem.
This microwave is great except for one thing. The gear that the turn table sits on is made of cheap plastic and it broke after a short time. We took it back to Sears and exchanged it for the next model up. Which is the Kenmore Elite 79152. It was $20.00 more but the glass plate is made so that it conforms to the rotating gear which is also much sturdier than the cheaper model. The cheaper model just has a flat glass plate that sits on the flimsy gear. It's really a bad design. Other than that the two models work exactly the same. And I'm happy with the Kenmore Elite 79152.

Filtrete Dirt Devil 4/5 Belt and Fantom Fury Belt, 2 Belts Per Pack

These are good quality belts and do indeed fit the Fantom Fury. I was skeptical when I saw the other reviewer's note that they didn't and were too small but it's a simple matter of stretching the belt which isn't difficult. It needs to be quite taught so that it won't slip while in use. The packaging is indeed marked for the Fantom as shown in the picture. No issuess and vacuum runs great!

Dirt Devil Belt
Dirt devil belts were perfect match for my vacuum cleaner. Easy to install and very good quality to last longer.

Works great.
These belts work great on my Fantom Fury. I can't buy these locally anymore, so finding them on Amazon is working out well. You have to stretch them out a bit to get them on but that is how they are supposed to work.

Genuine Eureka DCF-25 Vacuum Filter 67600 - 1 filter

Eureka! I have suction again!
I've had the Eureka Endeavor for well over a year and never bothered replacing this (or washing it, shame on me!) I didn't realize how much suction I had lost until I replaced this and the Hepa filter. I will wash the old one to switch while the other is drying. It's like having a new vaccuum again!

An extra since these are washable
I got a new vacuum with this washable filter. Since they take some time to dry completely, I got the second one. The second allows for vacuuming whenever I want without being concerned the filter is damp after cleaning it. It isn't necessary to wash these filters too often because a good 'banging' outside usually jars most dust particles loose. However, I like to wash mine about once every two weeks for a cleaner filter.

Eureka vacuum filter
We are ordering another filter for our Eureka vacuum cleaner because it says you can wash the filter and when doing so the foam came out of the outside frame making the filter useless. We just recently got the vacuum so do need a filter to continue using it. We like the vacuum, we don't like how the filter came apart on the first washing of it.

Bright Idea Light Bulb Lightbulb Fan Light Pull Chain

I live in the South and so there is a ceiling fan in every room. I had fan pulls with pretty geodes but I could never remember which was for fan and which was for light and it seems like I always picked wrong. After watching my parents struggle with the same thing I decided that I would label the pull strings but it looked... not so great. So then I thought why not a pull string that blatantly symbolizes which is for which? First I was going to get one for the fan and then I realized nothing was simple enough that everyone would get the message (plane, cloud, blue, snowflake?) Then I thought why not get the sun for the light, but I didn't like the set I found because I don't need a moon. Then I saw this light bulb and it was such a simple and direct symbol I knew that no one would ever have to pull on those chains 5 times again. One more of life's little frustrations solved.

Just in case the makers of this product ever read this review; If I had found a spiral halogen light...

Whirlpool® APR25530L Whispure 190-CADR Electronic Air Purifier with True HEPA Filter

Helped within 24 hours
Worked immediately with Texas Mountain Cedar pollen. I stopped sneezing within 24 hours. Unfortunately, I can't live in one room, but I leave it on all night. The Auto function is great so I don't have to guess when the air is clear. It automatically increases or decreases fan speed as needed. I haven't used the remote as much as I expected, since the low fan speed is not too loud and actually great for sleeping. I have never had a HEPA filter before so can't compare to other products. I wish they had included 4 carbon filters so I had a year's worth of filters with first purchase - my only complaint.

it is out of order already... dust sensor... da!
Wow, it is so loud in a quiet mode. Dust sensor broke today and fan was on high power all day today. I wish I would buy something more expensive to have more relaible. all merchandises made such way that it is supposed to brake relatively soon. What a beautiful life, where everyone is abusing each other.
